"We have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us."

HOME GEMS You are not insignificant

You Are Not Insignificant

Just a little update on what has been happening with us.  Since the beginning of the new year, and by the end of February we have visited three different countries. From what we can see God is on the move all over doing amazing things. If we position ourselves to be where God wants us to be, we will see His workmanship displaying His glory. Most of us have either had or heard prophetic words and thought that is too grandiose. Well if it is too big for man to do it, it has to be God.

When Ken was in Guatemala he visited and spoke at a church we had been in eight years ago. I remember, 8 years ago, when we arrived with our team to minister there. The church had a dirt floor, the roof was tin and it was very small. The people were very poor as well as their pastor and they were all going through difficulties. I remember thinking how can we encourage these people.  Our human nature felt sorry for these people, but our spirits had hope and believed for more for them.  We began sharing and declaring the faithfulness of God as a team. Our answer to need is, God, our only source. We prayed and prophesied to many that night and wondered what would happen to such an insignificant church.

Now, eight years later Ken steps into a brand new, beautiful church that would seat one thousand and it is totally paid for.  The church had their own Christian school on their property. The church also owns a large parcel of land that they are developing for a bible school and community service. They became industrious and developed a water filtration system and they were bottling and selling water. The pastor has a radio station that reaches three million people.  The church of insignificance has stepped into its destiny and become very significant.

Many of you feel like that dirt floor church. You feel very insignificant. You have had awesome prophetic words, but they haven’t come to pass yet.

Ken and I have had words that took decades to come to pass.  One of the words I got about sixteen years ago was that I would travel. At the time I was afraid to travel and couldn’t imagine that happening.  My sister phones me and now laughs at where we’ve been since our last conversation. God, our God knows the plans He has for you, just like He did for the little church.

Jeremiah says in chapter 29:11 “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans of welfare and peace not evil, to give you a hope in your final outcome.”

God has a plan for our lives but we have to be willing to participate with God to see it come to pass. God will not do anything without our cooperation with Him for His plan. The little church cooperated, believed no matter how difficult it was. God has a good plan for each of you, not a mediocre plan but a great one to use you to bring glory to His name. He wants to make you of great worth and significance to His kingdom.

Love Ken & Jeanne
