The joy of the Lord is our strength (Neh 8:10).
When women go shopping they seem to go on for hours with great gusto and enthusiasm where their husbands wane in exhaustion. It seems as if the joy of women's shopping is their strength.
In the Lord, as we joy in Him and get to that deep abiding joy it becomes our strength. When we worry, mutter, and complain about our lives we are not really trusting in God. When we don't trust and are fearful of the, “what ifs”, we can't enter His joy.
Our roof is leaking and we’re going to have to replace it, which will cost thousands of dollars. It's just one of life's many unavoidable problems. I won't let it rob me of my joy.
Joy is a far too precious and rare as a commodity. Worry, fear, and doubt always try to push it out.
Focusing on God, who He is, and His love fills up our joy tank. The kingdom of God is not meat and drink but righteousness peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Rom 14:17).
Don't let anything rob you of your joy.Love, Jeanne
